Our Mission

More Than a Tricycle.
It's Independence.

For a child with a disability, an AmTryke isn't just a toy — it's the first time they've felt the wind on their face while moving under their own power. It's the moment a parent watches their child do something they were told might never happen.

Huntsville AMBUCS TN Valley has been making those moments possible for over 25 years. We evaluate each recipient individually and provide a custom-fitted AmTryke at no cost to the family.

The Process

How Families Get an AmTryke

01
Step 01

Apply

Families or therapists submit a simple application on behalf of a child or adult with a disability. No complex paperwork — just a few details about the recipient and their needs.

02
Step 02

Get Evaluated

A trained therapist evaluates the recipient to determine the right AmTryke model and custom fit. Every tricycle is sized and configured specifically for the individual.

03
Step 03

Receive Your AmTryke

We deliver the custom-fitted AmTryke at no cost to the family. Our volunteers are there for the handoff — and the smiles that come with it.
